Mumbai, June 18: Silver prices in India stood at ₹2,600 per 10 grams on Thursday, marking a ₹50 decline from Friday’s ₹2,650 level. The move reflects a softer tone in the domestic bullion market, where silver continues to track international cues and local buying interest.
At the national level, silver is currently priced at ₹260 per gram and ₹2,60,000 per kilogram. The lower 10 gm rate compared with Friday shows that the metal has eased a bit, even though the broader trend remains relatively stable for now.
Across major Indian cities, the 10 gram price is largely uniform. Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Vadodara and Ahmedabad are all quoting ₹2,600, while Chennai, Hyderabad and Kerala are slightly higher at ₹2,700. Compared with Friday, every city has seen a drop of ₹50 per 10 gm, while the premium of ₹100 in the higher-priced markets remains unchanged.

This city-wise spread shows that silver prices are still following a familiar two-tier pattern in India. The gap between the mainstream markets and the premium markets has not widened or narrowed, which suggests that local pricing remains orderly despite the softer national rate.
Silver’s movement is being shaped by international prices, currency fluctuations and demand in the physical market. When global bullion prices cool off, domestic silver usually follows, and Thursday’s quote appears to reflect that cautious environment. Traders are also watching broader market sentiment before taking fresh positions.
For buyers, the current rate offers a slightly cheaper entry point than Friday. For investors, however, the decline is modest rather than dramatic, so the market still looks to be in a consolidation phase rather than a sharp correction.
Gold Prices
Gold prices in India eased further on Thursday, extending the mild pullback seen since Tuesday as the metal’s record-breaking rally continues to consolidate for a third consecutive session. The national rate for 10 grams of 24 karat gold (99.9% purity) stands at ₹1,51,100, down ₹260 from Wednesday’s ₹1,51,360. The 10-gram rate for 22 karat gold (91.6% purity) is ₹1,38,500, lower by ₹240 from Wednesday’s ₹1,38,740, while 18 karat gold (75% purity) trades at ₹1,13,320 per 10 grams, down ₹200 from Wednesday’s ₹1,13,520.
