New Delhi, Oct 16: Here are five stocks in focus on Friday, from Wipro’s cautious guidance for the December quarter to Solar Industries’ Rs 115.02 crore Sivasakthi acquisition, a Rs 106.04 crore solar contract at Agastya Energy & Infrastructure, Tech Mahindra’s bonus issue and Rs 15 dividend and an 86.3 per cent jump in Mankind Pharma’s profit. Here’s what’s driving each stock and what to track through the session.

Wipro (WIPRO)

Wipro (WIPRO) expects revenue growth for the December quarter, or Q3FY27, to range between a 1.5 per cent decline and 0.5 per cent growth sequentially in constant currency terms. The Bengaluru-based IT services company reported revenue of $2,611.5 million in US dollar terms for the September quarter, down 0.1 per cent from the June quarter. In rupee terms, revenue increased 0.8 per cent to Rs 24,667 crore from Rs 24,478.6 crore in the previous quarter, and about 8.7 per cent from Rs 22,697.3 crore a year earlier.

Consolidated net profit fell 4.5 per cent sequentially to Rs 3,200.6 crore from Rs 3,352 crore, and was down 1.4 per cent from Rs 3,246.2 crore in the year-ago quarter. Operating cash flow stood at 166 per cent of net income. Wipro’s American depositary receipt dropped nearly 3 per cent in pre-market trade on the NYSE, so investors will track how the stock reacts to the cautious guidance.

Solar Industries India (SOLARINDS)

Solar Industries India (SOLARINDS), through its subsidiary Solar Explochem, has entered into a share purchase agreement with Sivasakthi Industrial Explosives for the proposed acquisition of a 100 per cent stake in the company for Rs 115.02 crore. The Nagpur-based explosives maker supplies customers in mining, infrastructure, construction, defence and space.

The deal is small next to the company’s pending all-cash acquisition of South Africa’s Omnia Holdings, valued at about Rs 12,951 crore, which was announced on September 14 and is expected to close in early to mid 2027. Solar Industries reported revenue of Rs 9,838 crore in FY26. Investors will also track the financial details of Sivasakthi and the timeline for completing the purchase.

Agastya Energy & Infrastructure (AGASTYAEN)

Agastya Energy & Infrastructure (AGASTYAEN), formerly Sanginita Chemicals, has received an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) contract worth Rs 106.04 crore from its subsidiary, IMC Solar BDN LLP, for a solar power plant project. The company changed its name in August 2026.

The order is equal to about 26 per cent of the company’s market capitalisation of roughly Rs 403 crore as of October 6. Because the contract comes from a subsidiary, investors will track the execution timeline and how much of the order is recognised as revenue.

Tech Mahindra (TECHM)

Tech Mahindra (TECHM) announced an interim dividend of Rs 15 per share and its board recommended a 1:1 bonus issue, subject to shareholder approval and other applicable clearances. The dividend record date is October 23, with payment due by November 13, while the bonus record date will be announced separately. It would be the company’s first bonus issue since 2015, with bonus shares worth up to Rs 490 crore.

The IT services company’s profit after tax (PAT) increased 6.7 per cent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 1,586 crore from Rs 1,486 crore, and rose 32.7 per cent from Rs 1,194.5 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations grew 15.6 per cent year-on-year to Rs 16,180 crore, and the EBIT margin improved to 14.8 per cent from 14.4 per cent in the June quarter. The stock was among the top gainers on the Nifty 50 on Thursday, and investors will track its reaction to the payout.

Mankind Pharma (MANKIND)

Mankind Pharma (MANKIND) reported an 86.3 per cent year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 341 crore in the September quarter of FY27, compared with Rs 183 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The Delhi-based drugmaker’s finance costs rose to Rs 169.68 crore in Q2FY26 after the financing of its Rs 13,768 crore acquisition of Bharat Serums and Vaccines, which was completed in October 2024. Investors will track margins and finance costs through the session.
