The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has made significant revisions to the lot sizes of derivative contracts, effective April 26, 2024. This update aims to streamline trading processes and cater to the diverse needs of investors.

The lot size for Nifty Bank (BANKNIFTY) contracts remains unchanged at 15, ensuring market stability.

Starting April 26, all Nifty contracts, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly expiries, will adhere to the revised lot sizes. However, there will be no revision in the market lot for Nifty monthly expiry contracts for April.

The first weekly expiry contract featuring the revised lot size is scheduled for May 2, followed by the first monthly expiry contract on May 30.

Nifty Financial Services

The lot sizes for Nifty Financial Services will remain the same for the existing monthly expiries until June. However, from July onwards, there will be changes. Similarly, weekly contracts will maintain their current lot sizes until July 23, after which revised lot sizes will be applicable from August 6 onwards.

Nifty Midcap Select

Lot sizes for Nifty Midcap Select will stay the same for existing monthly expiries until June. However, from July onwards, there will be changes.
