Highlights:
- HDFC Securities has launched a campaign for its investment platform HDFC SKY, featuring four television commercials that emphasize research-backed insights as accessible to all retail investors.
- The campaign underscores a crucial market need, referencing a Securities and Exchange Board of India study indicating that 90 percent of retail derivatives traders incur losses due to insufficient structured research.
- Developed by the creative agency Steve Priya, the commercials use humor and metaphor to demystify complex investment concepts, showcasing how HDFC SKY makes premium research-driven stock recommendations available at no cost.
- Hdfc Securities has launched a new campaign for its investment platform HDFC SKY , introducing four television commercials that position research-backed insights as an accessible tool for all retail investors.
The campaign highlights HDFC SKY’s three core advantages: free researched stock recommendations , a flat brokerage of INR 20 per order and an all-in-one platform catering to diverse investment needs.
The campaign addresses a critical need in the market, citing a Sebi study that found 90 per cent of retail derivatives traders incur losses, often due to a lack of structured research . By combining Hdfc Securities’ 25 years of market expertise with the affordability of discount broking, HDFC SKY aims to democratise informed investing and help users make smarter financial decisions.
Developed by creative agency Steve Priya , the films use humor and metaphor to simplify complex investment concepts. One commercial features a young investor at home when five professionals in suits suddenly appear, offering in-depth research and stock picks at no cost. When he questions their origin, they reveal they are from “HDFC SKY,” symbolising how the app brings expert analysis directly to users.
Commenting on the launch, Puneeth Bekal , executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Hdfc Securities, said, “For too long, Indian investors have had to choose between affordability and quality. With HDFC SKY, we are breaking that compromise. Research is the backbone of successful investing and we believe it should be accessible to all, not just a privileged few. By offering premium research-driven stock recommendations at zero cost, backed by over two decades of expertise, we are democratising informed decision-making. Coupled with transparent, flat brokerage and a comprehensive investment platform, HDFC SKY is more than just an app; it’s our commitment to making investing more responsible, guided, smarter, simpler and inclusive for India’s next generation of investors.” Adding a perspective, founders of creative and content agency Steve Priya, said, “Our challenge was to showcase the power of research in a way that was relatable and not intimidating. We wanted to challenge the stereotype that investing is either boring or overwhelming. The campaign films do this with humour and a touch of surprise—what if a team of sharp-suited experts suddenly appeared from the SKY, offering free research and advice? That’s exactly what HDFC SKY delivers, right from your mobile device. The creative idea of experts dropping from the ‘SKY’ dramatises how powerful research and seamless investing have been made accessible to every investor.”
