The expiry days for index and stock derivatives contracts on Indian exchanges are being revised, effective for contracts expiring on or after 1st September 2025. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) contracts will now expire on Tuesdays, while the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) contracts will expire on Thursdays, as announced in recent circulars from both exchanges.

Starting September 1, 2025, all NSE index and stock derivatives including Nifty, Bank Nifty, and weekly contracts will expire on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays.
No. From September 2025, BSE derivative —including Sensex and stock contractswill expire on Thursdays, aligning with the last Thursday of the expiry month.
