This one-hour session, held at Diwali, allows traders to engage in stock transactions during a time considered auspicious. In 2024, Muhurat Trading will take place on Friday, November 1 from 6.00 to 7.00 pm, marking the beginning of Samvat 2081 according to the Hindu calendar. The Muhurat trading session for 2024 is determined by the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The same trading time applies to equity futures, options, currencies, derivatives, and securities lending and borrowing segments.

Some important points:
1. Stock – SIP orders will not be executed during the Muhurat trading session. The scheduled SIP orders will be placed on the next trading day.
2. AMO Orders will available till 5:44 PM ( 1 min before the pre-open session )
3. Any profits booked / sales proceed from trades previous trading day ( 31st October), will not be included in the available funds during the Muhurat trading session as 1st November is a settlement holiday, they will be available for use on 4th November.
4. Holdings bought ( Delivery ) on 31st October, will be available in your Portfolio for selling as as 1st November is a settlement holiday, they will be available on 4th November.
5. BTST Transactions, hence won’t be allowed on 1st November.
