Andhra Cements Reports Wider Q2 Loss at ₹4.19 Crore; Revenue Declines Sequentially

New Delhi, October 23, 2025: Andhra Cements Ltd (BSE: 532141) reported a consolidated net loss of ₹4.19 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared with a loss of ₹2.96 crore in the preceding quarter and ₹3.49 crore in the year-ago period, as higher input costs and lower revenue weighed on profitability.

Andhra Cements Ltd reported a decline in revenue and profitability for the quarter ended September 2025 (Q2 FY26). The company’s total income fell 22% sequentially to ₹7,844 lakh, compared to ₹10,058 lakh in the previous quarter. However, income remained higher than ₹5,615 lakh recorded in the same period last year (Q2 FY25), indicating some year-on-year improvement.
Expenses for the quarter stood at ₹12,036 lakh, marginally lower than ₹13,020 lakh in Q1 FY26, reflecting modest cost control efforts. Despite this, the company reported a loss before tax of ₹4,192 lakh, widening from ₹2,962 lakh in the previous quarter.
The net loss for the quarter also stood at ₹4,192 lakh, compared to ₹3,488 lakh in Q2 FY25. Consequently, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) came in at ₹4.55 for Q2 FY26, compared to ₹3.21 in the prior quarter and ₹3.78 in the year-ago period.
Segment and Expense Insights
- Power and fuel cost stood at ₹983 lakh, sharply lower than ₹4,119 lakh in the previous quarter.
- Employee benefits expense increased to ₹456 lakh versus ₹382 lakh in Q1 FY26.
- Finance costs remained elevated at ₹2,091 lakh compared to ₹2,054 lakh sequentially.
- Depreciation and amortisation expenses were ₹1,712 lakh, broadly stable from ₹1,677 lakh in the prior quarter.
No exceptional income or tax credit was recorded during the quarter. The deferred tax charge of ₹2,240 lakh appeared in the six-month period, reflecting cumulative adjustments.
Balance Sheet & Capital
The company’s paid-up equity share capital stood at ₹9,217 lakh with other equity at ₹5,238 lakh. Andhra Cements continues to operate under losses, with an EPS of ₹(4.55) for Q2 FY26.
