Aptech has secured a ₹4.79 crore skill development training contract from a state government body, while its shares traded marginally higher on Friday.

Mumbai, July 3: Aptech Ltd. has secured a ₹4.79 crore contract from a state government body to conduct a skill development training programme, the company informed the stock exchanges on Friday.
The company did not identify the awarding department in its disclosure but said the engagement covers the delivery of a training programme under a defined statement of work, service-level agreement and payment terms.
Government Order Adds To Training Portfolio
The contract is domestic in nature and is expected to be executed from August 2026, according to the filing.
At ₹4.79 crore, the order is not transformative for a company of Aptech’s size. Even so, government-funded training assignments remain a recurring part of the vocational education business, where institutions compete for programmes linked to employability and workforce development.
The disclosure also notes that the order is unrelated to the company’s promoters. It is neither a related-party transaction nor does any promoter or promoter group entity have an interest in the awarding authority.
Unlike long-term education partnerships, contracts of this nature are typically tied to a defined scope, milestones and delivery timelines. Revenue recognition therefore depends on programme execution rather than the award itself.
Stock Market Snapshot
The announcement triggered little movement in the stock.
Aptech share price traded at ₹104.22, up 0.04%, as of 3:45 PM IST on July 3, 2026.
The stock spent most of the trading session in a narrow range, suggesting investors viewed the contract as operationally positive but not large enough to materially alter near-term earnings expectations.

Company Background
Aptech has operated in the vocational training and non-formal education space since 1986. Its portfolio spans career training, media and animation education, aviation, beauty and wellness, banking and finance, language learning and enterprise training solutions.
The company runs multiple education brands, including Arena Animation, MAAC, Lakmé Academy powered by Aptech and Aptech Learning. Alongside its retail education business, it regularly executes training programmes for corporates, educational institutions and government agencies.
Conclusion
The latest order reinforces Aptech’s presence in the government-funded skilling segment, an area where contract wins tend to be incremental rather than headline-changing. While the contract value is modest, it adds to the company’s execution pipeline for the second half of 2026 and reflects continued demand for vocational training programmes from public sector clients.
