Mumbai, September 17: Shares of Asset Reconstruction Company (India), popularly known as ARCIL, made a muted debut on the stock exchanges on Thursday, listing at Rs 139 apiece on both the NSE and BSE, in line with the issue price. The listing came after the company’s Rs 732.97 crore initial public offering received strong demand during the subscription period.

ARCIL Share Price Today

ARCIL shares opened at Rs 139 on the NSE and BSE, offering no premium or discount to IPO investors. The company had fixed the price band for its public issue at Rs 132-139 per share, with the stock offered at the upper end of the band.

The IPO was entirely an offer for sale (OFS), meaning the proceeds from the issue went to existing shareholders rather than to ARCIL. The issue comprised shares worth nearly Rs 733 crore and was subscribed more than 20 times during the bidding period.

ARCIL’s IPO was open for subscription until September 11, with the company offering shares in the Rs 132-139 price band. The minimum bid lot was 107 shares, requiring retail investors to commit at least Rs 14,873 at the upper end of the price band.

The strong subscription for the issue had raised expectations around the listing, but the stock ultimately entered the secondary market at its issue price. The flat debut comes amid a rising broader market.

About Asset Reconstruction Company

ARCIL is an asset reconstruction company focused on acquiring and resolving stressed and distressed financial assets. It works across corporate, SME and retail loan segments and generates revenue through fee income and investments linked to its asset-resolution activities.

As of March 31, 2025, ARCIL had assets under management of Rs 16,852.57 crore. The company is currently the second-largest player in the sector by market share.

The company has relationships with banks and financial institutions and uses multiple resolution strategies to recover value from stressed assets. Its business performance, however, remains linked to recoveries from acquired assets, the quality and ageing of its portfolio and conditions in India’s stressed-asset market.

ARCIL Stock Market Debut

The flat listing means investors who received ARCIL shares in the IPO saw the stock enter the market at the same price at which they were allotted shares. The muted debut also comes during a busy primary-market session.

ARCIL’s listing adds another recently listed financial-services stock to India’s secondary market as investor attention remains divided between new-age IPOs, large primary-market offerings and the broader direction of equities. The National Stock Exchange’s much-awaited IPO also opened for subscription on Thursday, adding to activity in India’s primary market.
