Augmont Enterprises IPO opened for bidding on August 21, with investors putting in bids for 26,20,898 shares against 73,43,908 shares on offer as of 10:39 AM. The ₹825 crore issue was subscribed 0.36 times overall, while the retail and NII portions were subscribed 0.50 times each. The IPO will remain open until August 25.

Mumbai, August 21: The Augmont Enterprises IPO got off to a measured start on Friday, with investors bidding for nearly 26.21 lakh shares in the opening session. The ₹825 crore public issue was subscribed 0.36 times as of 10:39 AM on Day 1, according to the latest subscription data. 

Retail investors and non-institutional investors (NIIs) have so far shown the strongest participation, with both categories subscribed 0.50 times. The employee portion was subscribed 0.23 times, while the qualified institutional buyer (QIB) segment was yet to see meaningful demand at the time of the latest update. 

The issue has received bids for 26,20,898 shares against 73,43,908 shares offered, taking the overall subscription to 0.36 times. The total value of bids stood at around ₹206.53 crore, with 76,670 applications recorded so far. 

The Augmont Enterprises IPO is a combination of a fresh issue of 78,68,020 shares aggregating to ₹620 crore and an offer for sale of 26,01,521 shares worth ₹205 crore. The price band has been fixed at ₹750 to ₹788 per share, while the lot size is 19 shares. 

The IPO opened for subscription today, August 21, and will remain open through August 25.

The latest subscription figures show a relatively steady opening, with the issue yet to cross the full subscription mark.

The retail portion has received bids for 18,22,005 shares against 36,46,575 shares offered, translating into a subscription of 0.50 times.

The NII category has also reached 0.50 times, with 7,84,757 shares bid for against 15,62,817 shares available. Within the NII segment, the smaller NII category, or sNII, has seen comparatively better traction at 0.85 times, while the bNII portion stands at 0.33 times.

The QIB portion, excluding any anchor allocation, stood at 0.00 times as of the latest update, with only 2,603 shares bid for against 20,83,757 shares on offer.

The employee category was subscribed 0.23 times, with bids for 11,533 shares against 50,759 shares reserved for eligible employees. 

With several bidding sessions still left, investor participation across QIB, NII and retail categories will be key to watch as the issue moves through its five-day subscription window. 

Day-Wise Subscription Trend 

Since this is the first day of bidding, the Augmont Enterprises IPO has only one reported day-wise subscription figure so far.

The issue started with the retail and NII segments accounting for most of the early demand. The sNII category has been the strongest among the reported investor segments at 0.85 times. 

The subscription numbers can change significantly as the day progresses, particularly if institutional and high-value investor participation picks up later in the session.

The company has fixed the minimum application at one lot of 19 shares. At the upper end of the price band, a retail investor needs ₹14,972 to apply for one lot. 

Investors can apply in multiples of 19 shares, subject to the applicable category limits.

Conclusion 

The Augmont Enterprises IPO has made a cautious start on Day 1, with the ₹825 crore issue subscribed 0.36 times as of 10:39 AM on August 21. Retail investors and NIIs have both subscribed 0.50 times, while the sNII segment has recorded the strongest early response at 0.85 times. 

The QIB portion is yet to pick up, leaving room for the subscription numbers to move higher as the bidding session progresses. 

The Augmont Enterprises IPO will remain open until August 25, giving investors four more bidding days after the opening session. The allotment is expected on August 27, refunds and demat credit are scheduled for August 28, and the shares are tentatively set to list on BSE and NSE on August 31.
