Authum Investment to Take Over 100% of BIC Cello (India) for ₹153.34 Crore; Stock Higher by 68% in Six Months

Mumbai, October 28, 2025 – Authum Investment & Infrastructure Ltd (NSE: AIIL, BSE: 539177) announced that it will be acquiring a 100% holding in BIC Cello (India) Private Limited for ₹153.34 crore. All-cash transaction subject to closing adjustments represents a strategic move in Authum’s portfolio diversification and foray into the consumer goods industry.
Strategic Acquisition and Transaction Details
The deal is anticipated to be completed in 30 days and is not subject to regulatory approval. Authum has confirmed that BIC Cello (India) is not a related party. The acquisition supports Authum’s long-term strategy of creating a diversified, value-oriented portfolio and entry into stable, cash-generating businesses.
BIC Cello (India), originally Cello Plastic Products Private Limited, was incorporated in 2008 and has its business operations in Daman, Daman & Diu. The company produces and markets writing products and stationery under the popular BIC and Cello brands, with a firm market position in India.
Financial and Strategic Outlook
BIC Cello (India) had a turnover of ₹353.07 crore in FY25, after ₹389.15 crore in FY24 and ₹499.66 crore in FY23, with a net worth of ₹30.38 crore. Authum said the acquisition will add to its portfolio a strong consumer brand and aid long-term value creation. Authum’s shares have surged 68.3% over the past six months and 84.85% in the past year, reflecting growing investor confidence and consistent business performance. Shares of the company closed at ₹3,000.60, down ₹45.00 (1.48%) on October 28, 2025, reflecting mild profit booking in today’s trading session.
Authum Investment & Infrastructure Ltd is a diversified NBFC which operates in the areas of investment, lending, and infrastructure development. BIC Cello (India) acquisition further consolidates its operations in the manufacturing and consumer goods space, making it a dynamic and growth-driven investment company.
