Bengaluru, October 30, 2025: Bharat Electronics Limited (NSE: BEL | BSE: 500049), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, announced that it has received new orders worth ₹732 crore, following its previous media release on October 22, 2025.

The new orders are for a variety of defence and strategic technologies, including Software Defined Radios (SDRs), tank subsystems, communication equipment, missile components, financial management software, cybersecurity solutions, upgrades, spares, and services.

Key Defence Deliverables

The Software Defined Radios (SDRs) stand out as the centrepiece of the order. Developed in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), these are India’s first fully indigenous SDRs, designed and manufactured by BEL. They ensure secure, real-time, and interoperable communication across multiple battlefield platforms, while remaining compatible with existing legacy systems.

The integration of these SDRs is expected to significantly enhance the Indian Army’s communication infrastructure, ensuring faster, more reliable, and secure data exchange. This development marks a major step forward in India’s defence indigenisation drive, strengthening the nation’s pursuit of self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat) in critical defence communication technologies.
