Bharat Rasayan Shares Slip 5.21% After Announcing 1:1 Bonus Issue and 1:2 Stock Split

New Delhi, October 27: Bharat Rasayan Limited’s share price is witnessing negative investor demand today, after the company announced that it will be carrying out a bonus issue of 1:1 and a stock split of 1:2. As of 10:30 AM, the shares were down by 5.21% or 613.50 points, and were trading at ₹11,154.50. Until now, the shares have traded within a range of ₹11,288 and ₹10,722. The traded volume stood at 35.54 thousand shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹4,890 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹12,300 and their 52-week low at ₹8,798.50.
Bharat Rasayan Limited is an Indian company that is engaged in the manufacturing of technical-grade pesticides, intermediates, and formulations. The company was established in 1989 and is headquartered in New Delhi. The shares of the company are listed on NSE with the ticker symbol BHARATRAS and on BSE with the code 590021.
Announcement of 1:1 Bonus Issue and 1:2 Stock Split
The fall in the share price comes after the company announced that it will be carrying out a bonus issue of 1:1 and a stock split of 1:2. The company announced the two corporate actions in its board meeting held on October 24, 2025. As per the announcement, the company approved a 1:2 stock split. Under the stock split, each existing equity share with a face value of ₹10 will be subdivided into two equity shares. The new shares will have a face value of ₹5. After the action, the company’s total number of shares will double from 41,55,268 to 83,10,536.
Following the stock split, the company will issue bonus shares in a 1:1 ratio. Under the bonus issue, shareholders will receive one new share with a face value of ₹5 for every one share they hold after the split. Once the bonus issue is executed, the paid-up capital of the company will double to ₹8.31 crore. It will utilise ₹4.15 crore from the company’s Free Reserves and Capital Redemption Reserve. The company expects the bonus shares to be credited to shareholders’ accounts within two months, by December 23, 2025.
