BMW Ventures Makes Weak Debut: Lists at ₹78 Against Issue Price of ₹99, Ends 25% Lower

Mumbai, October 1, 2025 – BMW Ventures Limited IPO made a bad start on the bourses today. The stock is listed at ₹78 per share on the BSE, significantly below its issue price of ₹99, representing a 25.15% downside.
At 2:30 AM IST, the stock was trading at ₹74.1, which is down 25.15% from its listing price of ₹ 98.0. The stock was locked at its daily low of ₹74.1 with more than 10.6 lakh shares on the sell side, indicating that big investors have been under significant pressure to book early exits. The company has a market capitalization of ₹ 642.56 crore, opened its day at ₹78.0, and reached an intraday high of ₹78.0, with a low of ₹74.24 to date, but is under constant selling pressure.
BMW Ventures IPO Subscription Highlights and Key Intermediaries
Overall, the IPO was subscribed 1.50 times, which was largely due to participation from institutional and high-net-worth investors. The QIB subscription was 3.09 times (led by FIIs), and NIIs subscribed 3.03 times. Retail demand was modest at 0.99 times the average. Sarthi Capital Advisors was the BRLM, and Cameo Corporate Services served as registrar.
Outlook
The weak listing of BMW Ventures signals a reticence from investors around the risky leverage and regional concentration of the portfolio. Any continued growth will depend on BMW Ventures successfully increasing capacity, improving margins, and diversifying geographically to reduce dependence on southern markets and improve long-term competitiveness.
