Mumbai, 27 May 2025: Borana Weaves made a strong debut on Dalal Street today. Its shares got listed at ₹243 on both the BSE and NSE, representing a 12.50% premium over the issue price.

Here are five key takeaways from Borana Weaves’ IPO journey and market debut:

Subscription Performance Across Investor Categories

During its three-day bidding window, which concluded on May 22, the Borana Weaves IPO witnessed robust participation across all investor categories. The issue was oversubscribed by a staggering 147.85 times overall.

  • Retail investors were especially enthusiastic, subscribing to their quota 200.50 times.
  • Non-institutional investors (NIIs) showed similar vigour with 237.41 times subscription.
  • Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) also expressed strong interest, bidding 85.53 times their allocated portion.

Grey Market Sentiment

Prior to its official listing, Borana Weaves shares were actively traded in the grey market at a premium of approximately ₹43. This price action suggested a possible listing near ₹259 implying a nearly 20% gain over the IPO’s upper price band. Though the final listing price was slightly below that speculative figure, the premium of 12.50% still marked a successful entry.

IPO Size and Structure

The IPO was a completely fresh issue with no offer-for-sale component and aimed to raise ₹144.89 crore. A total of 67 lakh shares were made available to the public, with the price band fixed at ₹216 per share.

Anchor Investment Support

Ahead of the public offering, Borana Weaves secured ₹65.20 crore from anchor investors on May 19, 2025. This pre-IPO commitment reflected early institutional confidence and bolstered the offering’s visibility and credibility.

Lead Managers and Registrars

The IPO was managed by Beeline Capital Advisors, with Kfin Technologies appointed as the official registrar. Their combined experience in handling mainboard issues played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the offering.

Borana Weaves’ public debut not only marks a significant milestone for the company but also highlights the buoyant sentiment in India’s textile and capital markets. With a strong subscription base and a confident listing, the road ahead will be closely watched by investors and analysts alike.
