Canara Robeco AMC Shares Slip Over 11% After Q2 Earnings Miss Estimates

Mumbai, October 28, 2025: The share price of Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Ltd (NSE: CRAMC, BSE: 544580) declined 11.27% to an intraday low of ₹311.10 on early trade on Tuesday. The decline came after the company reported its Q2FY26 results in a regulatory filing, showing a 20.1% decline in profit after tax on a quarter-on-quarter basis, to ₹487.1 crore. Operating income and margins of the company also weakened during the quarter compared to the June quarter.
Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Ltd is a joint venture between Canara Bank and Orix Corporation Europe N.V. and operates in India’s growing asset management industry. The company manages the Canara Robeco Mutual Fund and is listed on both NSE and BSE under the tickers CRAMC and 544580, respectively.
Key Triggers Behind the Fall
The sharp fall in the company’s shares was triggered by several key financial factors. First and foremost, there was a sequential profit decline, as profit after tax during Q2FY26 dropped to ₹487.1 crore from ₹609.8 crore in Q1FY26. The decline was mainly due to lower fee income and rising employee costs. The quarter also had a soft revenue growth with the total income falling 10.9% QoQ to ₹1,080.1 crore. This reflects a moderation in management fees and a dip in other incomes as well.
The shares were also under pressure due to post-listing volatility and profit booking. The stock was listed on October 16, 2025, and has seen wide price swings since then. It hit a 52-week high of ₹353.40 on October 27 and a low of ₹280.25 earlier this month. These recent gains in its listing month put pressure on the company’s share as investors appear to be booking profits amid lacklustre Q2 earnings.
