Mumbai, July 26, 2025 – Central Depository Services (India) Limited (NSE: CDSL), Asia’s only listed depository, posted a strong set of financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1FY26), with substantial growth in income and profitability. The company also crossed a new milestone in investor accounts.

CDSL’s standalone profit nearly doubled quarter-on-quarter, reflecting improved market activity and investor engagement. However, consolidated net profit saw a year-on-year decline, impacted by subsidiary-level performance.

Business Highlights

  • CDSL became the first depository in India to register over 15.86 crore demat accounts as of June 30, 2025.
  • During the quarter, over 56 lakh new demat accounts were opened, reinforcing CDSL’s leadership in retail investor onboarding.

Awards and Recognition

  • In May 2025, CDSL received the ‘Innovation in Market Infrastructure’ award at the Leaders in Custody Asia Awards by Global Custodian.
  • In June 2025, CFO Girish Amesara was honoured with the FE CFO Award in the Small Enterprises segment under the Services sector.

  • CDSL Ventures Limited (CVL): India’s first and largest KYC Registration Agency offering e-KYC, e-Sign, RTA services, and GST facilitation.

  • Countrywide Commodity Repository Limited (CCRL): Provider of e-warehouse receipts supporting farmers and agri-ecosystem stakeholders.
