Mumbai, October 31: Fineotex Chemical share price is appearing significantly down by 88.10% as of 10:20 AM. However, investors should not worry as the fall in the share price is not real monetary loss but only an adjustment to the bonus issue and stock split announced by the company. Today, the Fineotex Chemical stock price is trading both ex-bonus and ex-split, leading to the fall as a stock price adjustment. The Fineotex Chemical shares are currently trading at ₹29.58, compared to the previous close of ₹248.51 on October 30, 2025.
Fineotex Chemical Limited (NSE: FCL | BSE: 533333) is an Indian company that is engaged in the manufacturing of speciality chemicals and enzymes. The company was established in 1979, and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
No Monetary Loss But a Common Adjustment
The significant decline in the share price is due to the Fineotex Chemical share price adjusting to the dual corporate action announced by the company. The company recently announced a dual corporate action, which includes a 4-for-1 bonus issue (4:1) and stock split of equity shares with a face value of ₹2 each to face value of ₹1 each.
Under the bonus issue of Fineotex Chemical, every shareholder holding 1 share has received 4 extra shares for free. After the bonus issue, the execution of stock split has subdivided every existing equity share with a face value of ₹2 into two shares with face value of ₹1 each. Together, these two actions have increased the number of shares, due to which the share price has fallen today. It is to ensure that with extra shares, the total investment value remains the same. Hence, even with the significant share price decline, the investment value of shareholders and the company’s capital structure remains the same.
Fineotex Chemical’s dual corporate action of bonus issue and stock split are aimed at rewarding shareholding by providing them extra free shares. It will also help in increasing the liquidity of the shares, and attract more investors due to the reduction in the share price of Fineotex Chemical.
