Mumbai, August 26, 2025: Gem Aromatics Limited (GEMAROMA) opened strongly today, listing at ₹333 per share, an ₹8 premium to its issue price of ₹325. The healthy listing was on expected lines after Gem Aromatics Limited IPO of the company saw overwhelming interest from investors in all categories.

Listing Performance

Gem Aromatics shares opened at ₹333.10 on NSE and soon hit a high of ₹345.90 in initial trade, showcasing consistent buying interest. The stock also witnessed some profit-booking, though, and fell to an intraday low of ₹333.10. At 2:24pm IST the stock was quoting at ₹327.85, higher by 2.85% from the issue price.

With a market cap of ₹1,782.59 crore at the prevailing price, the stock witnessed good trading volumes. Almost 24.21 lakh shares had been traded till early morning, which amounted to a turnover of ₹81.31 crore.

IPO Details and Investor Demand

Gem Aromatics had opened its ₹451 crore initial public offering this month with a price range of ₹309–₹325 per share. The issue had been well subscribed, closing at an overall subscription of 30.30 times. The lot size was set at 46 shares, which would require a minimum investment of ₹14,950 at the top price band.

Category-Wise Subscription

The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) category witnessed maximum interest, with the number of subscriptions standing at 55.28 times. Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) also demonstrated excellent participation, subscribing their part 45.06 times. The segment of retail investors remained subscribed 10.31 times, reflecting extensive interest among small investors too.

Outlook for Investors

Market experts pointed out that the sound subscription levels, along with the firm’s strong listing premium, demonstrate investor faith in Gem Aromatics’ fundamentals and sector positioning. The firm is positioned in the flavors and fragrances sector, serving both domestic and overseas markets, and is anticipated to gain from increasing demand across consumer goods, cosmetic, and food & beverage sectors.

Although the listing has been upbeat, analysts recommend that investors follow quarterly earnings and margin trends to assess the company’s long-term growth prospects. Considering the prevailing market volatility, analysts recommend that investors with a medium- to long-term outlook will benefit most from keeping their holdings.
