Mumbai, September 24: Genesys International Corporation has secured a ₹283 crore contract to develop a 3D Digital Twin and Spatial Intelligence platform for Ahmedabad, with the World Bank-funded project positioned as one of India’s larger city-scale digital twin initiatives.

According to the company’s exchange disclosure, the project is part of the Gujarat Resilient Cities Partnership programme and will create a unified digital foundation for urban planning, infrastructure management and civic service delivery in Ahmedabad.

The project will cover approximately 625 square kilometres of Ahmedabad and digitally map the city’s land parcels, properties, roads, water networks, sewerage systems, stormwater drainage infrastructure and other critical assets.

As part of the assignment, around 25 lakh properties are expected to be surveyed, geocoded and assigned unique digital identities. The resulting spatial database is intended to provide a detailed property-level view of the city.

Stock Market Snapshot

Genesys International shares were trading at ₹292.50 as of 10:26 AM IST on September 24, 2026, up ₹10.88, or 3.86%, according to the market data shown.

The stock had remained around the ₹278 to ₹280 range during the early part of the session before moving sharply higher after 10:00 AM. It climbed above ₹300 before easing back to ₹292.50 at the latest available timestamp.

The Genesys International share price was therefore trading higher as the company announced the ₹283 crore Ahmedabad digital twin contract.

Project To Map Ahmedabad’s Urban Infrastructure

A key part of the project involves building a detailed digital representation of Ahmedabad using advanced sensors, high-precision mapping and 3D modelling.

The company said the initiative will also map underground civic infrastructure, including water supply, sewerage and stormwater drainage networks, along with cable networks. The information will be integrated into a central GIS database so that municipal departments can access spatial information on critical infrastructure.

The project is expected to use 40 primary and 200 secondary survey control points to improve the accuracy and consistency of the city’s geospatial database.

Digital Twin Project To Run For Seven-And-A-Half Years

The Ahmedabad project is expected to be completed over two and a half years, followed by five years of operations and maintenance.

Genesys said the initiative will bring together 3D mapping, infrastructure intelligence and property-level geocoding on a common platform. The company expects the resulting digital environment to support urban planning, infrastructure management and civic service delivery.

The project also builds on Genesys International’s work in high-precision 3D representations of cities and infrastructure, combining surveying, mapping, GIS, artificial intelligence and spatial data.
