Prices of 24K gold had slipped by Rs 130 to Rs 1,44,320 for 10 grams on Monday after it retraced from Friday’s robust recovery. Prices for 22K gold and 18K gold on Monday eased by Rs 120 and Rs 100 to Rs 1,32,290 and Rs 1,08,240 per 10 grams, respectively, according to goodreturns.in.
Tuesday’s dip comes after bullion traded in a choppy, two-way range throughout the previous few sessions. Prices wavered between positive and negative territory throughout the week, whilst largely hovering near record levels. According to bullion traders, physical demand at jewellery stores has remained robust throughout the wedding season, although investors are still considering the short-term outlook for gold in light of expectations for global interest rates as well as safe-haven flows connected with the intensifying war in the Middle East.
