New Delhi: Grasim Industries is set to reach a consolidated revenue of Rs 2 lakh crore in FY27, nearly double the level five years ago, driven by a diversified portfolio spanning building materials, financial services, digital commerce and renewable energy, its Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla said.

Grasim, the holding company of the flagship Aditya Birla Group firms such as UltraTech Cement, Aditya Birla Capital, Birla Opus, Aditya Birla Renewables and Birla Pivot, had reported its “highest-ever” consolidated revenue of Rs 1.75 lakh crore in FY26.

Grasim, which will complete 80 years of incorporation on August 25, now operates 10 business lines and has a “market capitalisation exceeding Rs 2 trillion”, Birla said on Friday at the holding firm’s 79th annual general meeting.

He said the composition of Grasim’s earnings is becoming increasingly balanced, with established businesses generating strong cash flows even as newer growth engines scale up rapidly.

“This gives us confidence that, in FY27, Grasim is poised to reach Rs 2 lakh crore of consolidated revenue, nearly double the level five years ago, establishing Grasim as a powerful example of what trusted institutions can achieve when they scale with clarity, conviction and purpose,” said Birla.

Now, the company stands at an “important inflection point” stronger in scale, broader in ambition, and even more deeply aligned with India’s growth journey, he added.

In FY26, Grasim continued to build on its diversified strengths. It sustained its momentum across core businesses, advanced in newer growth businesses, and remained focused on prudent capital allocation, operational excellence and long-term shareholder value creation, Birla said.

Highlighting Grasim’s building materials business, he said UltraTech Cement crossed the milestone of 200 million tonnes per annum of grey cement capacity in April this year, while the paints business, Birla Opus, has emerged as a significant player in the decorative paints segment within two years of launch.

Birla Opus doubled its revenue year-on-year and secured a 10 per cent revenue market share in the Indian decorative paints market on a standalone basis in FY26, emerging as the number two player by capacity market share, Birla said.

Together with the Birla White putty business, the group’s revenue market share in decorative paints has reached the “early teens”, he added.

Birla also said B2B e-commerce platform Birla Pivot surpassed its annual revenue guidance of Rs 8,500 crore a year ahead of schedule, underscoring the group’s ability to build digital-first businesses alongside manufacturing-led operations.

“Our Cellulosic Fibres business remains rooted in innovation, sustainability and global competitiveness. Our Chemicals business continues to serve critical industries and strengthen its position through integration, scale and efficiency,” he said.

Its financial services platform, Aditya Birla Capital, continues to expand access to financial solutions for millions of Indians.

“The common thread across these businesses is clear: Grasim is helping shape India’s next growth chapter,” he said.

On Aditya Birla Renewables, he said it is fast becoming one of the most exciting growth platforms of the Group.

“What was a 2 GW platform not long ago has, in a short time, transformed into a national-scale renewable energy business with clear visibility of around 10 GW, and an ambition to scale 20 GW and beyond in the coming years,” he said.

Birla said Grasim’s next phase of growth will be shaped by capabilities and capital.

“We are investing in digital tools, analytics, automation and technology-led decision-making across our businesses. These capabilities improve agility, productivity, customer experience and execution discipline,” he said.
