Mumbai, September 28: Hatsun Agro Product has launched its Go-Dhan initiative in partnership with the Government of Odisha and State Bank of India, with the programme aimed at improving access to finance, government schemes and modern dairy practices for farmers.
Hatsun Agro Launches Go-Dhan To Support Dairy Farmers
The initiative was formally launched at a ceremony at the OUAT Auditorium in Bhubaneswar, bringing together representatives from the Odisha government, banking sector and dairy industry.
According to the company’s exchange disclosure, Go-Dhan is expected to benefit around 6,000 dairy farmers across 15 districts of Odisha. The programme will focus on helping farmers access institutional finance and government support for areas such as quality bovine breeds, cattle housing, farm mechanisation, nutrition and herd health.
The initiative will also help participating farmers access government subsidy schemes, including the Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojana (MKUY).

Go-Dhan Targets 6,000 Dairy Farms In Three Years
Hatsun Agro said the initiative is designed to support the establishment of more than 6,000 dairy farms over the next three years in a phased manner.
The programme is focused on improving farmer incomes and encouraging scientific dairy farming. By bringing together financing, government support and dairy-sector expertise, the company aims to address some of the operational requirements faced by farmers as they expand their dairy activities.
Hatsun Agro Chairman R.G. Chandramogan said the company intends to support the development of Odisha’s dairy ecosystem and create opportunities for farmers through a stronger dairy value chain.
The company also said its objective is to produce and procure milk within Odisha while creating value for local farmers. The milk produced is expected to serve demand in Odisha as well as neighbouring markets, including West Bengal and North Andhra Pradesh.

Hatsun Agro said dairy farming remains an important source of livelihood for rural households and that strengthening the sector can support broader agricultural development.
The company has partnered with the Odisha government and State Bank of India for the initiative, bringing together government support, banking access and dairy-sector capabilities. The programme is intended to give farmers better access to capital while encouraging improvements in farm management and productivity.
