HCL Tech shares gain after September quarter result; markets start the day in green

Indian equity markets have started the day in green today, 14^th October, 2025. At 9:45 a.m. Nifty 50 is up by 33.25 points or 0.13%. Sensex is up by 92.32 points or 0.11%.

Top gainers & losers

Top three gainers at Nifty 50 at this time are Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, and ONGC. Top three losers are Tata Motors, Eicher Motors and Bajaj Finance. HCL Tech share price is up by 1.36%, at Rs 1,515.10. This, after the company declared its September quarter result yesterday. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, its profit increased by 10.6% to Rs 4,235 crore. Consolidated revenue increased year-on-year (y-o-y) by 10.6% to Rs 31,942 crore.  The company maintained its revenue growth guidance for FY26 at 3% – 5%.

PSU banking stocks seeing some selling

All the broad market indices, except for Nifty Microcap 250 index, are in green at this time. Nifty Microcap 250 index is down by 0.03%. Among sectoral indices, Nifty PSU bank index is the top loser at this time. It is down by 0.59%. Nifty Midsmall Financial services index is the top gainer at this time. It is up by 0.65%. Nifty IT index is up by 0.61%. Volatility is up by 0.43%.
