Paris/New Delhi, October 29, 2025 – Hero MotoCorp Ltd (NSE: HEROMOTOCO, BSE: 500182), the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, today announced its official foray into France with a strategic partnership with GD France as it enters its 52nd international market. The move further consolidates the company’s presence in Europe after successful inroads into Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

French Market Debut and Product Launch

Hero MotoCorp entered France with the launch of its all-new Euro 5+ compliant Hunk 440 at the iconic UTAC Mortefontaine, providing ground near Paris, a historic testing facility created back in 1956. Immersive test rides showcased the motorcycle’s advanced design, engineering precision, and smooth performance.

The Hunk 440 makes 36.0 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm and a peak power of 27 bhp at 6000 rpm. Coming in at €3,599 including VAT, the model is available in two distinctive color variants: Twilight Blue and Phantom Black.

It will feature a high-tensile steel trellis frame, dual-channel ABS, KYB USD cartridge forks, a TFT digital display with navigation, and LED lighting. A motorcycle that is capable of meeting the performance threshold under the A2 segment and appealing to both urban riders and long-distance touring enthusiasts is the Hunk 440.

Distribution Network Expansion

Hero MotoCorp’s France operations will be handled by GD France, which initially covers more than 30 sales and service touchpoints that will further increase to more than 50+ by 2026 and get fully deployed by 2028. The collaboration ensures comprehensive after-sales support through a network of authorized dealers and technical centers across major French cities.

Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President at Hero MotoCorp, said, “Hero MotoCorp’s entry into the France market marks yet another milestone in our journey of global expansion. The Hunk 440 reflects our deep understanding of French riders’ expectations for reliability, superior quality, and performance-driven machines.”
