Mumbai, October 30: Hindustan Petroleum share price touched its 52-week and all time high today, on October 30. The stock reached a price of ₹478.80, hitting a record level. At the market close, Hindustan Petroleum stock price ended higher by 0.19%, or 0.90 points, at ₹469.75. The shares made an intraday high of ₹478.80 and an intraday low of ₹464.55. The traded volume stood at 95.65 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹99,763 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹478.80 and their 52-week low at ₹287.55.

Hindustan Petroleum Limited is an Indian company that operates as an oil and gas refiner. It was established in 1974, and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The shares of the company are listed on NSE with the ticker symbol HINDPETRO and on BSE with the code 500104.

Key Trigger: Strong Q2 FY26 and Half-yearly Financial Results

In Q2 FY26, the company’s standalone net profit surged by 507% year-on-year to ₹3,830 crore, compared to ₹631 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased by 2% YoY to ₹1,10,323 crore. Consolidated profit after tax (PAT) jumped by 2,600% to ₹3,859 crore. The gross refining margin (GRM) increased to US$ 8.80 per barrel from US$ 3.12 per barrel, which was a 182% rise.

For the first half of FY26, standalone PAT increased by 731% to ₹8,201 crore. Total revenue reached ₹2,30,458 crore. The company also declared an interim dividend of ₹5 per share for shareholders.

Operationally, HPCL achieved a refining throughput of 13.23 million metric tonnes (MMT) in H1 FY26, up 9.7% YoY. Sales volume was at 25.11 MMT, up 3.5% YoY. The debt-to-equity ratio increased to 1.07 from 1.38 as of March 31, 2025.

Overall, Hindustan Petroleum Limited reported strong quarter and half-year financials. The strong financials have boosted investor sentiments, which led to the shares reaching their all time high.
