Mumbai, October 23: Hindustan Unilever Limited’s share price is witnessing positive investor demand today, after the company reported a rise in its profit before tax. As of 12:30 PM, Hindustan Unilever Limited’s share price was up by 2.08%, or 54 points, and was trading at ₹2,645.70. Until now, the shares have traded within a range of ₹2,667.30 and ₹2,598. The traded volume stood at 18.60 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹6,08,944 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹2,750 and their 52-week low at ₹2,136.

Q2 FY26 Profit Rises 4% YoY to ₹2,694 Crore

The rise in the share price comes after the company reported a rise in its profit before tax, but a negative report overall. The company’s revenue from operations stood at ₹16,034 crore, which is a decline of 2.1% compared to the same quarter last year and a 1.6% drop from the previous quarter. The company’s net profit declined to ₹2,694 crore, down 3.8% year-on-year and 2.7% quarter-on-quarter. The EBITDA fell by 4.9% year-on-year to ₹3,389 crore. The Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the quarter was ₹11.43, a 3.6% decline year-on-year. The company’s total income rose to ₹16,388 crore, while total expenses increased to ₹12,999 crore. The total expenses included ₹1,661 crore, which it spent on advertising and promotion during the quarter.

Home Care Key Driver

In terms of segment-wise performance, the Home Care and Beauty & Personal Care were the key drivers for revenue. This was followed by the Foods & Refreshments segment, which performed well as it saw high demand for ice creams and packaged foods. The company’s international business remained stable, and the company saw a recovery in rural markets.

Half-Yearly Revenue From Operations At ₹32,330 Crore

For the first half of the financial year 2026 (H1 FY26), Hindustan Unilever’s revenue from operations increased 3.6% year-on-year and stood at ₹32,330 crore. The total income increased by 3.1% to ₹33,103 crore. The profit before tax fell by 2.8% to ₹6,873 crore, but the net profit increased by 4.9% to ₹5,462 crore compared to the same period last year. The Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the half-year also increased by 4.6% to ₹23.16.
