HUDCO Shares Price Dip 1.26% Despite Strong H1FY26 Loan Growth and Revenue

New Delhi, November 11, 2025: The share price of Housing & Urban Development Corporation closed 1.26% lower on Tuesday, even as the company reported robust financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025.
HUDCO recorded its highest-ever half-yearly loan book and disbursement in H1FY26, reflecting strong operational performance. However, the stock edged lower despite the positive earnings momentum.
HUDCO H1FY26 Financial Performance
HUDCO recorded steady growth in the first half of the financial year 2026. Revenue from operations surged 30.8% to ₹6,156.34 crore. This is compared to ₹4,706.07 crore a year ago. Net profit was up 7.5%. The loan book recorded ₹1,44,554 crore growth, which is up 30%. The loan sanctions were up 21% at ₹92,985 crore. Disbursements were up 19%.
Dividend and Shareholder Update
The company has announced an interim dividend of ₹2.15 per share for the financial year 2026 up to H1. This is a 21.5% payout. The government of India holds 75% of the equity and positions in the frontline as the largest shareholder. LIC of India follows with a 7.68% stake. Mutual funds such as HSBC Small Cap Fund and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance also hold a portion of the equity of HUDCO.
Asset Quality and Borrowing Profile
HUDCO continues to uphold its reputation for maintaining best-in-class asset quality. The company reported a gross NPA of 1.21%, with net NPAs remaining near zero. During H1FY26, HUDCO achieved recoveries worth ₹338.72 crore, including ₹330.70 crore from four major government agencies, underscoring its strong collection efficiency and prudent credit management.

HUDCO shares gained 7.53% in the last year, 2.84% in the last six months, and down 0.10% in the previous 5 days. The company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹46,210 crore. HUDCO is a Government of India Navaratna CPSE company. It is a listed NBFC-IFC. HUDCO focuses on housing and urban infrastructure projects spanning India.
