Mumbai, August 25: The Hy-Tech Engineers IPO is seeing a strong response from investors on its second day of bidding, with the retail segment once again driving a large part of the demand. The ₹136 crore IPO was subscribed 10.74 times as of 10:44 AM on August 25, according to the latest subscription data.

The issue had received bids for 19,25,55,747 shares against 1,79,27,144 shares available for subscription. At the upper end of the price band, these bids were worth around ₹1,020.55 crore. The number of applications had reached 4,07,954 at the time of the update.

Retail investors have put in the strongest overall response so far. The retail portion was subscribed 15.69 times, with bids for 14,06,64,301 shares against 89,63,571 shares reserved for the category.

The NII segment was not far behind, with subscription reaching 12.83 times. The category received bids for 4,92,85,299 shares, compared with 38,41,531 shares on offer.

Within the NII bucket, the smaller-ticket sNII segment has seen particularly aggressive bidding. It was subscribed 22.08 times, while the bNII portion was subscribed 8.20 times.

The QIB portion excluding anchor investors stood at 0.51 times, meaning institutional demand was yet to fully cover the reserved portion at the time of the latest update.

Hy-Tech Engineers is a ₹135.73 crore bookbuilding IPO, comprising a fresh issue of 1,13,20,754 shares aggregating up to ₹60 crore and an offer for sale of 1,42,89,450 shares worth up to ₹75.73 crore.

The IPO carries a price band of ₹50 to ₹53 per share and will remain open for subscription until August 27, 2026.

The latest subscription figures show that demand remains concentrated among retail and non-institutional investors:

The retail book has emerged as the biggest contributor to the IPO’s subscription so far, with investors bidding for more than 15 times the shares reserved for them.

The NII category has also seen heavy participation. At 12.83 times, the segment is already well covered, with the sNII portion standing out at 22.08 times.

QIB participation, however, remains relatively muted at 0.51 times. With two days of bidding still left, institutional demand will be an important number to watch as the issue moves towards closure.

Day-Wise Subscription Trend

Hy-Tech Engineers IPO had already received a healthy response on the opening day, ending Day 1 at 7.84 times subscription. The pace picked up further on Day 2, taking the overall subscription to 10.74 times by the latest update.

The IPO started with 7.84 times subscription on Day 1, helped by strong interest from retail and NII investors. Retail demand stood at 11.53 times, while the NII category was already subscribed 9.02 times.

By Day 2, the overall subscription had moved to 10.74 times. NII demand climbed from 9.02 times to 12.83 times, while retail subscription increased from 11.53 times to 15.69 times.

The biggest jump within the NII segment came from sNII investors, whose subscription rose to 22.08 times. QIB demand, meanwhile, remained almost flat at around half of the shares reserved for the category.
