New Delhi: Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd (IRFC) on Thursday reported 10 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 1,958 crore for September quarter FY27.
The NBFC under the administrative control of Ministry of Railways had earned a net profit of Rs 1,777 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income rose to Rs 7,924 crore from Rs 6,372 crore in the year-ago period, IRFC said in a regulatory filing. Total expenses were higher at Rs 5,966 crore as against Rs 4,595 crore.
The net worth of the company rose to Rs 60,573 crore at the end of September 2026 from Rs 56,194 crore a year ago.
Net Interest Margin (NIM) stood at 1.50 per cent (annualised) for the quarter.
Meanwhile, the board of the company approved an interim dividend of Rs 1.15 per share (or 11 per cent) on the face value of Rs 10 for 2026-27.
“Under IRFC 2.0, our continued railway-centric diversification is reaping rich dividends. The growing contribution of railway-linked businesses beyond Indian Railways is supporting better margins, strengthening PAT and improving NIM,” IRFC Chairman & Managing Director Manoj Kumar Dubey said.
Looking ahead, he said, the company is gearing up to meet the substantial financing requirements of newly sanctioned Dedicated Freight Corridors, High-Speed Rail Corridors, national port expansion and the renewable energy sector having PPAs with Indian Railways, following a Whole-of-Government approach.
For IRFC, zero NPA is not just a status symbol but a sound business proposition, he added.
