New Delhi: JK Lakshmi Cement on Wednesday reported a 27.9 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 108.07 crore for the June quarter of FY27.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 149.88 crore in the April-June period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd (JKLC), a flagship company of JK Organisation.
Its revenue from operations grew 9.4 per cent to Rs 1,904.78 crore in the June quarter of FY27. It was Rs 1,740.93 crore in the year-ago period.
Total expenses of JKLC increased 14.15 per cent to Rs 1,780.04 crore in the June quarter.
Its sales volume rose 8.17 per cent to 3.59 million tonnes in the first quarter.
JKLC’s total income, including other income, climbed 8.9 per cent to Rs 1,920.21 crore.
On the outlook, the company said demand is expected to remain supported by sustained infrastructure spending and institutional project activity.
“Fuel cost uncertainty continues to loom over the industry, with persistent volatility remaining a key concern. Ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, given their influence on crude oil and pet coke prices, continue to cloud the cost outlook,” the company said.
At the same time, there is a trend in the industry to recalibrate operating models, focus on internal efficiencies, cost optimisation, and productivity improvements to drive sustainable long-term outperformance.
“Overall, the sector outlook remains cautiously optimistic, underpinned by healthy demand fundamentals. A moderation in geopolitical tensions could ease input cost pressures, particularly fuel costs, providing support for margin recovery across the industry,” it said.
Shares of JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd on Wednesday settled at Rs 571.35 per scrip on BSE, down 0.03 per cent from the previous close.
