Karbonsteel Engineering Shares Make Strong Debut, List at ₹185.10 on BSE SME

Mumbai, Sept 16, 2025 – Shares of Karbonsteel Engineering Limited made a strong debut on the BSE SME platform today. The shares got listed at ₹185.10, marking a premium of 16.4% over the issue price of ₹159. Post the lsisting, the shares quickly gained traction hitting a high of ₹194.35, an up 22.23% from the IPO price.

Listing Day Performance

Following its bidding, the company’s shares were issued at a price of ₹159. However, the shares quickly surged by over 22% from their IPO pricing and 5% increase from their listing pricing, touching their first 52-week high at ₹194.35. The shares of the newly listed company overall also had positive trading as of 11:50 am with a market capitalization on listing at ₹274.85 crore and the with a free float market cap of ₹51.87 crore.

Karbonsteel Engineering IPO was open for bidding between September 9 and 11, 2025 and had witnessed phenomenal investor interest. It was oversubscribed 76.59 times with the rally led by QIB (ex Anchor) investors who subscribed for 121.61 times shares as compared to what was offered. Non-institutional buyers in sNII (bids below ₹10 lakh) were a close second at 102.58 times oversubscription, whereas the overall NII subscription was 85.99 times. Retail investors also showed positive enthusiasm with a 46.84 times subscription.

Karbonsteel Engineering Limited was incorporated in 2011 and specializes in the design, fabrication, and assembly of heavy and precision steel structures. The company has a vast clientele that spans across industries like railways, steel plants, refineries, oil & gas, and chemical plants. The company operates two ISO-certified facilities located at Umbergaon (Gujarat) and Khopoli (Maharashtra) with an installed capacity of 36,000 MTPA. It is headquartered in Mumbai and listed on the BSE SME platform under the ticker 544511.
