Mumbai, 5 August 2025: Kaytex Fabrics Limited made its stock market debut today on the NSE Emerge platform at ₹144 per share, a 20% discount from its IPO issue price of ₹180. This listing comes even after the company witnessed a subscription of 42.70 times for its ₹38.78 crore SME IPO. However, market volatility and early profit booking impacted its listing-day performance.
Kaytex Fabrics Opens at ₹144, Falls 20% from Issue Price of ₹180
The stock began trading at ₹144.00, much below the issue price of ₹180.00, and hit an early high of ₹151.20 before slipping back. The listing day price band was set at ₹136.80 to ₹151.20 with a 5% circuit limit. As of 12:45 PM, Kaytex was trading at ₹151.20, having regained some ground.
At the time of writing, the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) stood at ₹144.33, with 11 lakh shares traded and a total traded value of ₹15.88 crore. The market capitalisation of the company was estimated at ₹222.25 crore, based on the latest trading figures.
Retail Investor Demand High, But Listing Falls Short Amidst Market Uncertainty
Despite a 42.70x oversubscription of its IPO, the weak listing indicates cautious sentiment in the SME space. The offering had received strong interest from retail individual investors, followed by non-institutional investors and qualified institutional buyers, yet the broader market’s mood appears to have tempered immediate gains.
Stock Hits Upper Circuit of ₹151.20 Before Pulling Back, Suggests Short-Term Profit Booking
The stock touched its upper circuit limit of ₹151.20 within the first hour of trading, but the rally was short-lived. The early gains were likely driven by listing day momentum and the enthusiasm of short-term traders. However, selling pressure soon kicked in, hinting at profit booking and cautious sentiment among investors.

Kaytex Fabrics: Fast-Fashion Textile Brand with Pan-India Reach
Founded in 1996, Kaytex Fabrics Limited is a fast-growing textile manufacturer specialising in digitally printed and woven fabrics. The company operates under popular brand names such as Rasiya, Kaytex, and Darbaar-e-Khaas, catering to both branded and unbranded fashion retailers across India.

Investor Watch: Strong Retail Interest but Caution Needed Post-Listing Dip
Despite robust interest during Kaytex Fabrics IPO, the stock’s underperformance at listing suggests investors may want to monitor price stability before entering. While the company’s fundamentals and branding in the textile industry remain promising, the listing below issue price indicates possible short-term volatility.
Market watchers will keep a close eye on whether the stock sustains above ₹151.20, or dips below its intraday low of ₹136.80, in the coming sessions.
