Saudi Arabia Orders Focus On 380 kV Transmission
In Saudi Arabia, L&T’s PT&D business has won orders in the 380 kV transmission and substation segments. The projects are aimed at increasing transmission capacity and facilitating renewable energy evacuation.
The company said the assignments will contribute to strengthening Saudi Arabia’s power transmission network while supporting the integration of renewable energy into the grid.
UAE And India Add To Order Wins
In the United Arab Emirates, L&T has secured an order for the construction of 132/11 kV substations along with associated cabling works.
The domestic order has been awarded by a leading private sector developer in India and involves setting up a transmission system comprising transmission lines and substations in Visakhapatnam.
Together, the projects expand L&T’s PT&D order activity across international and domestic markets.
L&T Strengthens Power Infrastructure Portfolio
L&T’s PT&D business provides engineering, procurement and construction services across power transmission and distribution. Its activities include transmission lines, substations, underground cable networks, distribution networks and power quality improvement projects.
Executive Vice President and Head of PT&D, Joji Sebastian, said the latest wins demonstrate the business’s ability to execute complex power infrastructure projects across geographies.
The new orders add to L&T’s presence in grid strengthening and renewable energy integration, particularly in markets investing in transmission capacity to support changing power-generation requirements.
