New Delhi: Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday reported a 14 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 4,122.85 crore for the quarter ended on June 30, 2026, driven by strong order inflows despite prevailing geopolitical uncertainties and trade disruption.

The company had posted consolidated net profit of Rs 3,617.19 crore in the year-ago period.

The consolidated revenue from operations of the company during the first quarter rose to Rs 67,941.74 crore from Rs 63,678.92 crore in the year-ago period.

When asked if the company has made headway into nuclear energy partnerships, the company’s President & Director- Finance R Shankar Raman said during the media briefing that “there are a lot of discussions that are happening in terms of both the conventional nuclear power as well as the modular nuclear power”.

“We do hope that at some point in time during the course of the year, we should be able to have a little more definitive roadmap for that.” He said that a rise in net profit was driven by a mix of factors such as an increase in EBITDA and higher other income, supported by improved margins in the IT businesses.

The energy segment’s margins remained stable while the realty business showed healthy margins, he said. Temporary large surplus funds available for investment during the quarter also boosted treasury yield, he added.

Raman further said lower interest cost from the company’s debt-reduction programme contributed to the rise. “Multiple factors have contributed; it is not one single factor,” he said.

The company secured orders worth Rs 108,014 crore, registering a Y-o-Y growth of 14 per cent for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

During the quarter, significant order wins were achieved across multiple businesses such as residential and commercial buildings, transportation infrastructure, ferrous metals, offshore wind and the heavy engineering businesses.

International orders stood at Rs 60,702 crore, contributing 56 per cent to the total order inflow. The Group’s consolidated order book as on June 30, 2026, was at Rs 7,78,954 crore.

Larsen & Toubro is a USD 32 billion Indian multinational engaged in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects, hi-tech manufacturing, products and services, operating across diverse domains and multiple geographies.
