L&T Shares Hit 52-Week High After Q2 Profit Rises 15.6% on Strong Order Inflows and Revenue Growth

New Delhi, October 30, 2025: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) posted a 15.6% rise in consolidated net profit at ₹3,926.09 crore for the quarter ended September 2025 on the back of strong revenue growth and robust order inflows. The company had posted a net profit of ₹3,395.29 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Consolidated revenue from operations rose 10% to ₹67,983.53 crore from ₹61,554.58 crore a year ago.

Order Book Surges 39% in H1 FY26

Orders at ₹2,10,237 crore for the half year ended September 30, 2025, registered a rise of 39% over the corresponding period of the previous year. International orders stood at ₹1,24,236 crore, accounting for 59% of the total. The company said this firmly positions it to exceed the growth guidance of 10% in order inflow for the current financial year.

Management Commentary

Chairman and Managing Director S. N. Subrahmanyan said the company delivered a “well-rounded financial performance” across all key parameters. He highlighted that consistent execution across a diverse portfolio underlines L&T’s resilience amid global and local challenges. “We continue to see higher capital expenditure in India and the Middle East and remain optimistic about order prospects,” he added.

The President and Whole-time Director of the company, R. Shankar Raman, said divestment of its stake in Hyderabad Metro is likely to be completed between the current and next quarter. He added that discussions with the government on the transaction modalities are in progress, and completion depends upon documentation and approval timelines.

Share Price Update and Market Snapshot

At 9:26 AM, the share price of Larsen & Toubro Ltd was trading at ₹4,011.60, which is a gain of 1.35% . In the last year, Larsen & Toubro shares have gained 17%, 9.38% in the year-to-date, 20.07% in the last six months, and 9.64% in the last month.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd opened at ₹3,980 on Thursday and touched an intraday high of ₹4,048, making a new 52-week high. The low for the day was at ₹3,977.80. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹5.52 lakh crore and presently trades at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 34.78. The dividend yield currently stands at 0.85%, with the latest quarterly dividend standing at ₹8.52 per share.
