M&B Engineering Makes Strong Stock Market Debut at ₹385; Surges to Intraday High of ₹418.80

Mumbai, August 6, 2025 — Shares of M&B Engineering Limited made a strong debut today, opening at ₹385 per share, the top end of the IPO price band. In early trade, the stock surged to a high of ₹404.00, marking a gain of 4.94% over the issue price.
At the closing, the stock recorded a traded volume of 153.61 lakh shares and a total traded value of ₹614.44 crore, with the company’s market capitalisation at ₹2,315.93 crore.
Listing Day Metrics
The stock got listed at ₹385 on the exchange and it touched an intraday high of ₹418.80. The day’s low was ₹373.50 and the stock closed at 408.65.
IPO Subscription Summary
M&B Engineering’s ₹650 crore IPO, open from July 30 to August 1, 2025, was subscribed 36.20 times in total. Overall, the issue was subscribed to 36.20 times. The highest demand came from non-institutional investors, who bid 38.24 times their quota. Qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) followed closely, subscribing 36.72 times. Retail investors also showed solid participation too, with a 32.53x subscription. On the other hand, the employee quota saw a modest 8.13x subscription.
Ahead of the IPO, M&B Engineering had raised ₹291.60 crore from 24 anchor investors, allocating 75,74,026 equity shares at ₹385 per share.
Top Anchor Allottees:
- Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (Stable Fund) picked up the most significant chunk, getting 9,09,074 shares worth ₹34.99 crore.
- HDFC Mutual Fund’s Manufacturing Fund was allotted 8,11,680 shares, investing ₹31.25 crore.
- Aditya Birla Sun Life’s Small Cap Fund received 7,79,190 shares for a total of ₹29.99 crore.
- Kotak Infra & Economic Reform Fund secured 4,87,008 shares, amounting to ₹18.74 crore.
- WhiteOak Capital’s Special Opportunities Fund got 3,89,614 shares, investing ₹15 crore.
