New Delhi, November 3, 2025: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (NSE: MARUTI, BSE: 532500), the leading car manufacturer of the country, has reported the latest sales figures. The company has achieved the highest-ever monthly sales volume for October 2025 as it dispatched 2,20,894 units in the month, which marks a 7% increase in volume (year on year) compared to 206434 units in October 2024.

There are multiple reasons for the stellar numbers, starting with the festive season, GST reforms, and an overall increase in demand for compact and utility car segments. Interestingly, the share price of Maruti Suzuki traded at ₹15,584.00 (down by 3.71% from the previous close) at 12:05 PM on Monday, as investors reacted negatively to the company’s strong sales and profitability numbers, which were slightly below market expectations.

Record Domestic Sales Driven by Compact and Utility Segments

Maruti Suzuki achieved record domestic sales of 1,80,675 units in October 2025, driven by strong demand for Baleno, Swift, Dzire, and Brezza. The compact segment rose 15.5% YoY to 76,143 units, while utility vehicles grew 9.8%, led by Brezza and Ertiga. Light commercial vehicles also surged 23.1%. However, mini-car sales declined 15.2% as demand for Alto and S-Presso softened. With exports at 31,304 units, the total sales reached 2,20,894 units, marking a 7% YoY growth.

Production Surpasses 1.92 Lakh Units in October 2025

The production output was the highest ever (192139 units), which was 8.4% higher than the previous year (177312 units in October 2024). The biggest increase was in the Compact category (up by 13.7%), while utility vehicles also saw an 8.5% increase in production. The mini category saw a 6.1% decline, and light commercial vehicles also posted negative growth (-3.7%) as demand shifted towards compact SUVs and mid-segment vehicles.

Outlook

The automaker’s record-breaking performance underscores strong festive-season demand and sustained consumer confidence in its compact and SUV portfolios. Robust sales of models like the Baleno, Swift, and Brezza continue to anchor Maruti’s dominance in India’s passenger vehicle market.
