Jewellery Stocks Steal The Spotlight
Jewellery counters dominated trading activity through the day. PC Jeweller and Kalyan Jewellers attracted heavy buying, while IDEA continued to feature among the busiest telecom stocks on the exchange.
VOGL, Cupid, Motisons Jewellers, IFCI and Jaiprakash Power Ventures also recorded healthy turnover, highlighting that investor participation remained broad-based rather than limited to benchmark names.
The PC Jeweller share price stayed firmly in focus as the stock topped the volume charts and extended its gains during the session.
Market Interest Remained Broad-Based
The most active equities list often offers a snapshot of where investors are concentrating their attention. Thursday’s data suggested that interest remained spread across jewellery, telecom, financial and consumer-facing businesses, with several mid-cap counters witnessing unusually high trading activity.
Although elevated volumes alone do not confirm a lasting trend, they frequently indicate strong investor participation and can point to stocks that are likely to remain on traders’ watchlists.
Conclusion
PC Jeweller led India’s most active equities on Thursday, followed by VISL, IDEA and Kalyan Jewellers India. Strong trading volumes across these counters reflected sustained investor interest in select broader-market stocks as the session came to a close.
