Mumbai, July 3: Trading activity remained concentrated in a mix of financial, technology and power-sector stocks on Friday, with investors actively rotating across mid- and small-cap counters even as benchmark indices ended the session higher.
PC Jeweller once again dominated the volume charts, while several technology and industrial names witnessed brisk turnover amid stock-specific buying interest.
PC Jeweller Sees Massive Volumes; Tech Stocks Draw Fresh Buying
PC Jeweller emerged as the day’s most actively traded stock, with nearly 99.03 crore shares changing hands. Despite the heavy activity, the stock closed 4.06% higher at ₹10.25, extending the strong trading interest seen in recent sessions.

Volumes Reflect Stock-Specific Interest
The day’s activity wasn’t driven by a single theme. Investors remained selective, with momentum shifting between jewellery, technology, renewable energy and financial names.
While PC Jeweller led the volume charts by a wide margin, the sharp gains in Zensar Technologies and IKIO Technologies suggested that buying interest was concentrated in stocks with company-specific triggers rather than across entire sectors. On the other hand, Vodafone Idea, VISL, VOGL, Vedanta Power and OLA Electric witnessed heavy trading even as they ended lower, reflecting continued profit booking after recent moves.
Conclusion
Trading volumes remained elevated across several mid- and small-cap counters on July 3, underscoring sustained retail and institutional participation despite a selective market. PC Jeweller retained the top spot in terms of traded volume, while Zensar Technologies and IKIO Technologies stood out with strong price gains. The mix of advancing and declining high-volume stocks highlighted a market driven more by stock-specific developments than by broad sectoral trends.
