Indian equity markets have started the day in red today, 26th December, 2025. At 10:05 a.m. IST, Nifty 50 is down by 60.05 points or 0.23%. Sensex is down by 212.53 points or 0.25%.

Among broad market indices, Nifty Smallcap 100 index is up by 0.29%. Nifty 100 index is down by 0.13%. Some small cap stocks are seeing buying at this time. Nifty VIX index is down by 0.38%. Among sectoral indices, Nifty Chemicals index is the top gainer at this time. It is up by 0.43%. Nifty Consumer Durables index is up by 0.36%. Nifty IT index is the top loser among sectoral indices at this time. It is down by 0.33%. Nifty FMCG Index is down by 0.14%.

Top 3 gainers at Nifty 50 at this time are Titan, BEL and Cipla. Top 3 losers are Shriram Finance, Sun Pharma and Bajaj Finance. Markets are seeing profit booking in stocks that gained on Wednesday, like Shriram Finance and Bajaj Finance. However, Hindustan Copper shares continue to gain today. After gaining more than 6% on Wednesday, the stock price is up by 4.13% at this time, trading at Rs 454.60. Current 52-week high price of the stock is Rs 457. The stock may see a breakout to touch a higher 52 week high.
