Nifty, Sensex turn green after starting in red; Eternal shares up by more than 2%

Nifty 50 and Sensex are in green after starting the day in red.  At 10:35 a.m. IST, Nifty 50 is up by 73.05 points or 0.28%. Sensex is up by 183 points or 0.22%.  Markets had already factored in a 25 basis point rate cut by US Federal Reserve. As expected, the US central bank announced a 25 basis point rate cut yesterday. There was no surprise on this front. Notably, two of Federal Reserve board members voted against the rate cut. One of the board members voted for a 50 basis point rate cut.

This deal took place at an average price of Rs 290.4 per share.
