Mumbai, September 24, 2026: National Stock Exchange of India shares made their stock market debut at ₹1,800 per share on BSE on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The listing price was ₹15, or 0.84%, above the final IPO price of ₹1,785 per share.

The debut followed the completion of the ₹22,561.57 crore initial public offering, which was entirely an offer for sale (OFS). The IPO comprised 12,64,36,650 shares and was open for subscription from September 17 to September 21.

NSE Shares Trade At ₹1,839 By 10:02 AM

Following the listing, NSE shares moved above the debut price. At 10:02 AM IST on September 24, the stock was trading at ₹1,839, according to the market snapshot.

At that level, the shares were ₹39, or 2.18%, above the ₹1,800 listing price and ₹54, or 3.03%, above the ₹1,785 IPO price. The market snapshot showed trading volume of 85,22,358 shares at that time.

₹22,561.57 Crore IPO Was Entirely An Offer For Sale

The NSE IPO comprised 12,64,36,650 shares offered through an OFS, with the issue size aggregating to ₹22,561.57 crore at the final price of ₹1,785 per share.

Since the issue was entirely an OFS, the proceeds from the shares sold in the IPO went to the existing shareholders offering their holdings, rather than being raised by the company through a fresh issue.

IPO Received 5.71 Times Subscription

The NSE IPO received overall subscription of 5.71 times during the three-day bidding period. The issue attracted 38,41,852 applications, according to the final subscription data.

The QIB category, excluding the anchor portion, was subscribed 12.68 times, while the NII category was subscribed 6.55 times. The retail portion received 1.39 times subscription, while the employee portion was subscribed 2.40 times.

QIB Portion Accounted For 50% Of Net Offer

Under the IPO structure, QIBs were allocated 6,30,01,606 shares, representing 50% of the net issue. The NII category received 1,89,00,483 shares, or 15%, while retail investors were offered 4,41,01,125 shares, representing 35% of the net issue.

The issue also included a preferential reservation of 4,33,436 shares for employees, who were offered the shares at a ₹170 discount to the issue price.

NSE IPO Listing Follows ₹1,785 Final Issue Price

The final issue price was fixed at ₹1,785 per share, against a price band of ₹1,700–₹1,785. The minimum retail application was for 8 shares, requiring an investment of ₹14,280 at the upper end of the price band.

The shares were scheduled for listing on September 24, with BSE shown as the listing exchange in the IPO details. The listing marked the transition of the exchange operator’s shares from the IPO process to secondary-market trading.

NSE Share Price Snapshot At 10:02 AM

At 10:02 AM IST on September 24, NSE shares traded at ₹1,839, compared with the ₹1,800 listing price and the ₹1,785 issue price.

The stock was therefore 0.84% above its IPO price at debut and 3.03% above the issue price at the 10:02 AM snapshot.

The listing session remains the first phase of trading following the IPO, with the stock now available for price discovery in the secondary market.
