Mumbai September, 04: Ola Electric Mobility Limited has opened its first wave of dealer-led stores across India, marking a shift in its retail strategy as the electric vehicle maker moves towards a wider partner-led distribution network.

According to the company’s press release, the new stores are now operational across Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bihar, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

The rollout comes less than a month after Ola Electric opened its sales and service network to dealer partners for the first time on August 6, 2026. The company said the first partner-operated outlets are now live, with more stores expected to be added over the coming quarters.

Ola Electric is targeting a dealer footprint of more than 500 outlets as it looks to expand its presence beyond the reach of its existing company-owned stores.

Stock Market Snapshot

The Ola Electric share price was at ₹38.21 as of 3:44 PM IST on September 4, 2026, up ₹0.74, or 1.97%, from the previous close, according to the market data shown.

The stock traded largely within a narrow range for most of the session before moving sharply higher during the afternoon. It briefly climbed above ₹38.50 before settling around ₹38.21 at the latest update.

The move came on the same day that Ola Electric announced the opening of its first set of dealer-led stores, giving the market a fresh update on the company’s retail expansion.

Partner-Led Model To Broaden Ola Electric’s Market Reach

Ola Electric had previously relied heavily on company-owned stores as it built its brand and customer network. The latest rollout introduces a different approach, with dealer partners taking a larger role in local sales and distribution.

The company said the partner-led model is intended to improve accessibility and strengthen its presence across regional markets.

The first cohort includes stores in cities and towns across seven states. Ola Electric expects the network to grow rapidly as more dealers join the platform and existing company-owned stores transition into broader product-experience centres.

The company said its S1 range, starting at ₹79,999, will be available through the expanding network.

Ola Electric Targets 500+ Dealership Footprint

The first batch of dealer-led stores is being positioned as the beginning of a larger retail expansion rather than a one-off launch.

Ola Electric said it is targeting more than 500 dealerships over the next couple of quarters. The broader footprint is expected to give customers easier access to its electric scooters and motorcycles across more parts of the country.

For the company, the shift also changes how it can approach local markets. Dealer partners can provide a physical presence in locations where establishing and operating a company-owned outlet may take longer.

EV Maker Continues To Build Integrated Electric Mobility Business

Ola Electric Mobility operates across the electric vehicle value chain, with activities covering EV manufacturing and key components.

The company’s operations include electric scooters and motorcycles, along with battery packs, motors and vehicle frames. It also operates the Ola Futurefactory and continues to invest in battery technology and other EV-related capabilities.

The company has been expanding its manufacturing and technology footprint while building a wider sales and service ecosystem around its vehicles.

Retail Expansion Adds Another Layer To Ola Electric’s Growth Strategy

The dealer rollout gives Ola Electric another route to reach customers as competition in India’s electric two-wheeler market continues to develop.

The company said the new network is designed to improve accessibility while helping dealers participate in the growth of its product portfolio.

With the first stores already operational and a 500-plus dealership target in sight, the next phase of the rollout will depend on how quickly the partner network expands across additional markets.

Conclusion

Ola Electric has opened its first wave of dealer-led stores across seven states, marking a significant change in its retail strategy after opening its sales and service network to partners in August.

The company is targeting more than 500 dealerships over the next couple of quarters as it seeks to improve local market access and take its electric two-wheelers to a wider customer base.

Meanwhile, the Ola Electric share price stood at ₹38.21 as of 3:44 PM IST on September 4, 2026, up 1.97% from the previous close.
