Mumbai, 12 August 2025: Patel Retail Limited’s IPO will open on August 19th. The IPO will close on August 21st. The issue includes a fresh issue of 0.85 crore equity shares aggregating ₹217.21 crore and an offer for sale of 0.10 crore equity shares aggregating ₹25.55 crore.

The IPO price band is ₹237 and ₹255 per share, with a minimum lot of 58 shares amounting to ₹13,746 for retail investors. Small non-institutional investors have to apply for a minimum of 14 lots (812 shares) worth ₹2,07,060, and big non-institutional investors for 68 lots (3,944 shares) worth ₹10,05,720.

The allotment is scheduled on August 22, 2025, with listing on the BSE and NSE expected on August 26, 2025.

Proceeds from the IPO will be mainly utilised to repay debt (₹59 crore) and finance its working capital (₹115 crore), with the remaining amount being used for meeting general corporate expenses.

FedEx Securities Pvt. Ltd. is the lead manager, while Bigshare Services Pvt. Ltd. is the registrar. The IPO structure consists of the following salient features:

  • Total Issue Size: 95.2 lakh shares aggregating up to ₹242.76 crore
  • Fresh Issue: 84.67 lakh shares for ₹215.91 crore
  • Offer for Sale: 10.02 lakh shares aggregating ₹25.55 crore

Patel Retail Limited: Maharashtra-Based Supermarket Chain with Increasing Footprint in Tier-III Cities

Established in 2008, Patel Retail Limited operates a chain of supermarket stores branded “Patel’s R Mart” mainly across tier-III cities and suburban districts like Thane and Raigad districts. The company has 43 stores spanning 1,78,946 sq. ft. The product range consists of food and non-food items, FMCG, garments, and private labels such as “Patel Fresh” and “Indian Chaska.” Its Maharashtra and Gujarat manufacturing units facilitate backward integration and private label initiatives.

Financial Overview: Patel Retail Recorded 12% PAT Growth and Steady Revenue at ₹826 Crore in FY25

In the year ending March 31, 2025, the total income of Patel Retail was ₹825.99 crore, up by 1% Y-o-Y from ₹817.71 crore in FY24. Profit after tax (PAT) rose by 12%, to ₹25.28 crore from ₹22.53 crore. The company’s EBITDA grew by 12%, reflecting enhanced operating efficiency. The net worth improved significantly to ₹134.57 crore from ₹94.40 crore in the previous year, while the borrowings in total decreased marginally.

The return on equity (ROE) of Patel Retail stands at 19.02% and return on capital employed (ROCE) at 14.43%, reflecting healthy profitability. Company’s debt-to-equity ratio stands at 1.34, reflecting moderate leverage
