Petrol, Diesel Prices Today, June 22, 2026: Fuel Rates Stable in Delhi, Mumbai; Jaipur Records Sharpest Increase

Mumbai, June 22: Among state capitals and major urban centres, however, a few cities witnessed modest changes. Jaipur recorded the sharpest increase in both petrol and diesel prices, while Gurgaon and Bengaluru saw notable declines. Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad continued to rank among the costliest markets for fuel, whereas Delhi remained one of the cheapest among major metros. Fuel prices vary across states due to differences in value-added tax (VAT), freight charges and local levies. Here’s a city-wise look at the latest petrol and diesel prices across India.
Crude oil prices fell on Monday after U.S. and Iranian officials concluded talks in Switzerland, with Tehran saying it had secured waivers for oil and petrochemical exports. Brent crude futures dropped about 1.6% to around $79.3 per barrel after a volatile trading session, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude traded near $75.6 per barrel
Petrol Prices
Petrol prices remained largely stable across major Indian cities on Monday, with only marginal revisions reported in select state capitals. In the four metro cities, prices were unchanged in New Delhi at Rs 102.12 per litre and in Chennai at Rs 107.87 per litre, while Mumbai saw a slight increase of 3 paise to Rs 111.21 per litre. Kolkata recorded a marginal decline of 4 paise.

Among key state capitals, Jaipur registered the sharpest increase, with petrol prices rising 69 paise to Rs 113.35 per litre. Bhubaneswar and Patna also witnessed modest hikes of 22 paise and 8 paise, respectively. On the other hand, Gurgaon saw the steepest decline, with prices falling 37 paise to Rs 102.80 per litre, while Bengaluru and Hyderabad recorded minor decreases. Thiruvananthapuram remained the costliest among the listed cities at Rs 115.49 per litre, closely followed by Hyderabad at Rs 115.69 per litre. Overall, fuel prices continued to show limited movement, reflecting the daily revision mechanism followed by oil marketing companies.

Diesel prices were largely steady across India’s major metro cities on Monday, with no changes reported in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chandigarh. The fuel continued to retail at Rs 95.20 per litre in the national capital, Rs 99.82 in Kolkata and Rs 97.83 in Mumbai. Chennai was the only metro to record a revision, with diesel prices rising 10 paise to Rs 99.65 per litre.
Among state capitals and key urban centres, Jaipur registered the sharpest increase, with diesel prices climbing 61 paise to Rs 98.39 per litre. Bhubaneswar, Patna and Lucknow also saw modest hikes, while Gurgaon and Bengaluru recorded declines of 36 paise and 26 paise, respectively. Thiruvananthapuram remained the most expensive market among the cities tracked, with diesel priced at Rs 104.41 per litre, followed closely by Hyderabad at Rs 103.82 per litre. Overall, diesel prices continued to witness only marginal daily adjustments, reflecting local tax variations and routine revisions by oil marketing companies.
