Tempsens Instruments Shares Fall 3.93% From Opening Price On NSE And BSE After 184.22 Times Subscribed IPO

Tempsens Instruments (India) shares opened at ₹634 on August 28, ₹334 above the ₹300 IPO issue price, before easing to ₹609.10 by 10:20:36 AM IST. The stock was still 103.03% above its issue price, while the ₹650 crore IPO was subscribed 184.22 times.

Mumbai, August 28, 2026: Tempsens Instruments (India) Ltd shares opened at ₹634 on the NSE and BSE on Friday against the IPO issue price of ₹300. The stock moved lower during the morning session and stood at ₹609.10 by 10:20:36 AM IST, down ₹24.90, or 3.93%, from its opening level.
At ₹609.10, the shares remained ₹309.10, or 103.03%, above the IPO issue price. The stock recorded an intraday high of ₹634.85 and a low of ₹600, while its volume-weighted average price (VWAP) stood at ₹616.68.
Shares Open At ₹634 And Ease To ₹609.10
Tempsens Instruments shares started trading at ₹634, which was ₹334, or 111.33%, above the ₹300 issue price. The stock moved up to an intraday high of ₹634.85 before declining during the morning session.
At 10:20:36 AM IST, the stock was quoted at ₹609.10. This was ₹24.90, or 3.93%, below the opening price and ₹9.90 above the session low of ₹600.
The VWAP stood at ₹616.68. VWAP, or volume-weighted average price, reflects the average traded price after taking into account the quantity traded at different price levels.
₹650 Crore IPO Received 184.22 Times Subscription
Tempsens Instruments’ ₹650 crore IPO received bids for 27,98,29,200 shares against 1,51,68,769 shares offered, taking the overall subscription to 184.22 times.
The QIB portion, excluding anchor investors, was subscribed 302.88 times, while the NII category was subscribed 314.44 times. The retail portion received subscription of 61 times.
The issue received 75,19,511 applications. The employee portion was subscribed 124.95 times, according to the subscription figures provided.
QIB And NII Categories Record Strong Subscription
The QIB category, excluding the anchor allocation, had 43,23,335 shares available and received bids for 1,30,94,62,300 shares. This resulted in subscription of 302.88 times.
The NII category had 32,42,500 shares available and received bids for 1,01,95,83,800 shares, taking subscription to 314.44 times.
Within the NII segment, applications above ₹10 lakh were subscribed 331.34 times, while applications below ₹10 lakh were subscribed 280.66 times.
Retail Portion Subscribed 61 Times
The retail category had 75,65,833 shares reserved for it and received bids for 4,61,15,26,600 shares. The category was subscribed 61 times.
The IPO had a lot size of 50 shares. At the final issue price of ₹300 per share, the minimum retail application amount was ₹15,000.
Fresh Issue And Offer For Sale Made Up ₹650 Crore IPO
The Tempsens Instruments IPO comprised a fresh issue of 31.67 lakh shares aggregating to ₹95 crore and an offer for sale of 1.85 crore shares aggregating to ₹555 crore.
The total issue size was 2,16,66,666 shares. Of these, 1,08,08,332 shares were allocated to QIBs, 32,42,500 shares to NIIs and 75,65,834 shares to retail investors. A further 50,000 shares were reserved for employees.
The IPO carried a price band of ₹285-₹300 per share, with the final issue price fixed at ₹300.
Shares Remain 103.03% Above Issue Price
At ₹609.10, Tempsens Instruments shares were trading ₹309.10, or 103.03%, above the IPO issue price. The comparison with the issue price remains separate from the intraday movement, with the stock down 3.93% from its ₹634 opening level.
The stock’s trading range at the time of the snapshot was ₹600-₹634.85. Its VWAP of ₹616.68 was above the prevailing market price of ₹609.10.
