Poojaa Precision Engg. IPO opened for subscription on July 28 and was subscribed 0.80 times by the morning of Day 1, with retail investors leading demand while institutional participation remained subdued.

Mumbai, July 28: Poojaa Precision Engg. IPO opened for subscription on Tuesday and received a healthy response from retail investors within the first few hours of bidding. By 10:28 AM, the ₹159.83 crore SME issue had been subscribed 0.80 times, with the retail category already crossing the one-times mark even as institutional participation remained muted.
The public issue, which consists entirely of a fresh issue of 53.10 lakh equity shares, opened today and will remain available for subscription until July 30. The company has fixed the price band at ₹285 to ₹301 per share, while shares are proposed to list on the BSE SME platform on August 4, 2026, subject to the completion of the IPO process.
Retail Investors Drive Early Demand
Retail investors emerged as the biggest contributors on the opening day, subscribing their reserved portion 1.26 times. This indicates encouraging interest from individual investors right at the start of the bidding process.
The NII category was subscribed 0.82 times, with the smaller non-institutional investor segment (sNII) attracting stronger participation than the larger-ticket bNII investors.
Meanwhile, the QIB (excluding anchor investors) portion was yet to receive meaningful bids during the morning session. Employee reservation also remained unsubscribed at the latest update.
Overall, investors had applied for 28.31 lakh shares against 35.44 lakh shares available for public subscription.
