Purple United opened three new exclusive brand outlets in June, taking its retail network to 116 stores despite closing one outlet in Bihar.

Mumbai, July 2:Purple United Sales Ltd. continued to expand its retail footprint in June by opening three new exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) under its Purple United Kids brand, according to an exchange filing.
The new stores have been launched at Manjari in Pune, Chumoukedima in Dimapur, and 9th Avenue in Mohali. The company said the expansion is aimed at reaching new markets and strengthening its presence in India’s growing kids’ fashion segment.
During the same period, Purple United shut its store in Raxaul, Bihar, resulting in a net addition of two outlets for the month. Following the latest expansion, the company now operates 116 Purple United Kids retail stores and EBOs across the country.
Management said the latest additions are part of its strategy to deepen market penetration and broaden access to its products in emerging as well as established retail markets.
Stock Market Snapshot
The retail expansion announcement kept the stock in focus during Thursday’s trading session.
As of 9:32 AM IST on July 2, the Purple United share price was trading at ₹484.60, up 4.17% from the previous close.
Although store additions are relatively small in isolation, investors often monitor retail network expansion as an indicator of a company’s long-term growth strategy, especially in consumer-facing businesses where physical presence plays a key role in brand visibility and sales.

Expansion Reflects Ongoing Growth Strategy
Purple United has been steadily building its exclusive retail network as it seeks to strengthen its position in the organised children’s apparel market. Expanding into cities such as Pune, Dimapur and Mohali allows the company to widen its geographical reach while tapping demand from both metro and emerging consumption centres.
The latest openings also demonstrate the company’s focus on scaling through owned retail channels, which provide greater control over customer experience, merchandising and brand positioning.
While one outlet was closed during the month, the overall increase in store count suggests the company continues to optimise its network by balancing expansion with operational efficiency.
Conclusion
Purple United’s June retail update underscores its continued emphasis on expanding its brick-and-mortar presence. With the store network now reaching 116 outlets, the company is strengthening its footprint in the kids’ fashion segment while pursuing broader market access. Investors will watch whether the growing retail presence translates into higher sales and improved operating performance in the coming quarters.
