RNIT AI Share Price Up 2% After Company Signs Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Contract

RNIT AI Solutions signed a Service Level Agreement with Andhra Pradesh’s Higher Education Department to deploy AI facial recognition attendance systems across about 3,900 institutions.

Mumbai, March 16: RNIT AI Solutions Limited announced the execution of a Service Level Agreement with the Commissionerate of Higher Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh for deployment of an AI-based facial recognition attendance management system across higher education institutions in the state.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 through an exchange filing dated March 16, 2026.
According to the filing, the agreement covers the design, development, integration, deployment and maintenance of an AI-powered mobile-driven facial recognition attendance management system. The solution will support digital attendance authentication across institutions functioning under the administrative control of the Commissionerate of Higher Education in Andhra Pradesh.
The project scope includes government colleges, aided and private degree colleges, engineering colleges, B.Ed, B.P.Ed., law, pharmacy and polytechnic institutions.
As per the regulatory disclosure, the deployment is expected to cover approximately 3,900 institutions and about 1.3 million users including students and staff.
RNIT AI Solutions Share Price Movement
RNIT AI Solutions shares traded higher following the announcement of the government engagement.
According to exchange data, the RNIT AI Solutions share price was at ₹50.89, up 2.05%, as of 11:15 IST on March 16, 2026. The stock opened at ₹50.00 and moved within a session range of ₹49.01 to ₹51.50 so far during the trading day.
The company’s market capitalisation stood at approximately ₹396.59 crore. The movement came after the disclosure regarding the agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Department.

The company said the project will be executed under a Software-as-a-Service model with transaction-based pricing.
Under the arrangement, the financial consideration will depend on the number of attendance authentication transactions processed through the AI-based facial recognition attendance platform.
RNIT will provide implementation, integration with departmental systems, deployment, user training, technical support and application maintenance throughout the contract period.
The agreement has been executed for a period of two years from the date of signing, according to the exchange filing.
